Putin: Russia favors complete end to conflict with Ukraine
PoliticalThere should not be a ceasefire or a pause for renewing the Kiev regime; Moscow is in favor of a complete and final end to the conflict, said Russian President Vladimir Putin.
He is convinced that Ukraine does not accept the idea of a ceasefire because in that case, the excuse for extending the martial law in the country disappears, reports RIA Novosti.
"If Ukraine ends the martial law, they will have to hold presidential elections," Putin said. And according to the Russian President, the chances of the current Ukrainian authorities winning those elections are close to zero.
"Russia sees that Kiev is not ready to give up warring until the end," added Putin.
