14th package of EU sanctions against Russia may be adopted in mid-June: O’Sullivan
VideoThe State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr Bankov held a meeting with the EU Special Envoy for Sanctions David O’Sullivan, Foreign Ministry of Ukraine reports.
During the meeting, the counterparts discussed a number of important issues regarding the proper implementation of international sanctions against the Russian Federation and coordination of joint actions to improve counteraction of sanctions circumvention.
Oleksandr Bankov expressed gratitude to EU colleagues for their consistent support for increasing sanctions pressure on the aggressor state, as well as the expectation that the upcoming 14th EU sanctions package will include decisive measures against both the Russian Federation and those who support the Russian military-industrial complex.
The parties also paid attention to the issue of using frozen Russian assets in favor of Ukraine as a party affected by Russian armed aggression, as well as bringing to justice those involved in committing genocide and war crimes within the framework of Russian aggression in Ukraine.
The EU Special Envoy for Sanctions David O'Sullivan expressed readiness to continue the constructive dialogue in the issues of strengthening the sanctions regime and combating its circumvention.
