Borrell invites Katz to discuss EU-Israel relations

Josep Borrell, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy said he will invite Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz to Brussels for discussions.

 

“Following last week’s agreement at the Foreign Affairs Council, I have sent out the invitation to FM Israel Katz to an ad hoc EU-Israel Association Council”, Borrell said in a post on X. 

 

Earlier, Borrell said that The EU gives its full support to the comprehensive roadmap presented by the president of US Joe Biden, that would lead to an enduring ceasefire in Gaza, the release of all hostages and a surge of humanitarian assistance to Gaza. “We urge both parties to accept the proposal”, said Borrell.
