7 powerful flares were registered on Sun in one day: Will they cause a magnetic storm?

Scientists of the Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences have recorded seven powerful solar flares in one day, two of them of X class. The Russian TASS agency writes about this, citing the institute's data.Scientists recorded five M-class flares on the Sun, the weakest of which corresponded to the M1.3 level, and the strongest to M7.5."On May 5, at 13:00 Moscow time (14:00 Yerevan time), a 19-minute M7.5 flare was recorded in the X-ray range of sunspot 3663 (N24W21)," said the representative of the institute.

Two flares of X1.3 class were recorded simultaneously. They were registered on the same day at 09:01 Moscow time and 14:54 Moscow time (10:01 and 15:54 Yerevan time).

Solar flares, depending on the power of X-ray radiation, are usually divided into classes A, B, C, M and X. The minimum solar flare class A0.0 corresponds to an Earth orbit radiation power of 10 nanowatts per 1 m². Moving to each next letter of the classification means a 10-fold increase in radiation power.

As a rule, flares are accompanied by solar plasma emissions, the clouds of which can cause magnetic storms on Earth, disruption of satellites and other electronic systems. The source does not say whether these flares will cause a magnetic storm on Earth or not.
