iPad Air with M2 chip
The new iPad Air is available in two sizes - an 11-inch display and a 13-inch display (still LED, not OLED). They run on the M2 chip and support Wi-Fi 6E or 5G. The camera placement on the tablet has been redesigned to make it look more natural and easier to use when you hold iPad in landscape orientation. Both the front and rear cameras are equipped with 12 MP sensors.
Cost will be $599 for the 11-inch and $799 for the 13-inch. You can pre-order starting yesterday, and the tablet will be available “next week.”
iPad Pro with M4
The new 2024 iPad Pro is touted as the company's thinnest iPad ever. It runs on the new M4 chip, which is 50% faster than the Apple M2 that powered the previous iPad Pro. Other features include a dual-panel OLED display called Tandem OLED. There are again two versions - 11 and 13 inches. The case thickness of the 11-inch model is 5.3 mm, and the 13-inch model is 5.1 mm.
In the US, the 11-inch iPad Pro starts at $999 for the Wi-Fi model and $1,199 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model. The 13-inch iPad Pro starts at $1,299 for the Wi-Fi model and $1,499 for the Wi-Fi + Cellular model.
Apple Pencil Pro
The first Apple Pencil was introduced back in 2015, and almost 10 years have passed since then, and all this time there have been very few updates to the stylus - only in 2018 did magnetic charging appear, and last year a less expensive model with fewer functions was released and USB-C charging.
Now the Pro model has appeared in the company’s line of styluses. It is equipped with a new sensor that supports recognition of the pressure of the stylus with your fingers, so you can, for example, select a tool for drawing on a virtual canvas: brush, pencil, and others. There is also support for a rotation gesture, which allows you to change brush settings, and the ability to create your own interactions.
The new stylus is available for pre-order now and costs $129, with shipments starting next week. It is worth noting that it is only compatible with the latest generation iPad Pro and Air. Pencil Pro also supports Find My technology, making it easy to find a lost stylus.
Updated Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro
Another new product from Apple is the redesigned Magic Keyboard case for iPad Pro, which, according to the developer, has become much thinner and lighter. The keyboard now includes a number of functions for quick access to controls such as screen brightness. It also received an aluminum body and an enlarged trackpad with support for haptic feedback. It connects to the device using a magnet.
The updated Keyboard Case costs $299 for the 11" iPad Pro and $349 for the 13" iPad Pro. There are two colors - white and black. Comes with layouts for more than 30 languages.
