Slovakia PM's health condition improving, doctors say
PoliticalThe doctors have reported on the improvement of the health condition of the Prime Minister of Slovakia, Robert Fico, who was wounded in an assassination attempt on May 15, according to Aktuality.
The F.D. Roosevelt University Hospital of Banska Bystrica, where the Slovak PM is being treated, made a brief statement on Monday morning about Fico's current condition.
"After today's consultation, the patient's condition is assessed as stable. His condition is improving clinically, he is communicating, the indicators of inflammation are slowly decreasing. The Prime Minister remains under our supervision," the doctors said.
PM Fico has been at the aforesaid since May 15. He was helicoptered there after being shot several times by a 71-year-old man on the same day. The assassination attempt took place at the government session in the city of Handlova town.
Robert Fico sustained four gunshot wounds. He has already been operated on twice.
