Նիկոլի բերած «անկախությունը» մեկ բառով կոչվում է ադրբեջանացում։ Այս մասին իր ֆեյսբուքյան էջում գրել է ՀՀԿ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը.

«Նիկոլ, դու էիր 2018-ի մայիսին Ստեփանակերտում ասուլիսի ժամանակ ի պատասխան լրագրողների հարցերի հայտարարում. «Ինչու՞ է Ձեզ թվում, որ Արցախը գերտերություն չէ։
Դա դու ես ասել, Նիկոլ Փաշինյան։

Դրանով ի լուր աշխարհի եւ ողջ հայության նշել, որ Սերժ Սարգսյանը քեզ ժառանգություն է թողել քո իսկ ձեւակերպմամբ «գերտերություն» Արցախ։

Նույն ասուլիսի ժամանակ դու նշել ես. «Մենք որեւէ փոխզիջման չենք գնա մինչեւ Ադրբեջանը չճանաչի Արցախի ժողովրդի ինքնորոշման իրավունքը»։

Ճանաչե՞լ է Ադրբեջանը Արցախի ժողովրդի ինքնորոշման իրավուքը,որ Արցախը հանձնել ես Ալիեւին։

Բա դու քեզ ուժեղ ղեկավարի տեղ էիր դրել ու նույնիսկ փոխզիջմանն էլ էիր դեմ, բա այսօր ինչու՞ ես Արցախը հանձնելուց հետո էլ գյուղերն ընկած խաղաղություն ես մուրում Ադրբեջանից։

Քո իսկ ձեւակերպմամբ «գերտերություն Արցախն» Ադրբեջանի մաս ճանաչողն ի՞նչ է, Նիկոլ։

Արցախի հարցում 2018-ին փոխզիջումների դեմ արտահայտվողն ու այսօր Արցախն Ալիեւին զիջողն ի՞նչ է, Նիկոլ։
Դու ասա…քաղաքական հետերա՞, շարքային ժուլի՞կ, դավաճա՞ն, թուրքի սպասավո՞ր, թե՞…դու ասա:

Ի՞նչ կասեր ընդդիմադիր Փաշինյանը վարչապետ Փաշինյանին, որը «գերտերություն Արցախը» հանձնեց Ադրբեջանին ու փոխզիջումների դեմ լինելով ոչ միայն զիջումների, այլ ազգային կապիտուլյացիայի ու նվաստացման ճանապարհն ընտրեց՝երազելով 29.8 հազար քառ. կմ մասին։

Դու վարում ես ոչ թե անկախության, այլ մուրացկանի քաղաքականություն։
Իսկ մուրացկանին ոչ թե անկախ հայրենիք այլ՝ ֆորպոստ էլ չի հասնում։

Գարեգին Նժդեհն ասում էր. «Մուրացկանին տալիս են ոչ թե անկախ հայրենիք, այլ՝ անկելանոց»։

Չնայած երեւի քեզ ավելի մոտ են ոչ թե Գարեգին Նժդեհի, այլ՝ Էմին Ռասուլզադեի կամ Զիյա Գյոքալփի խոսքերը»,-գրել է Շարմազանովը։
