A physical altercation erupted between deputies at the Legal Affairs Committee sitting, discussing the draft law on Transparency of Foreign Influence in its first reading, Georgian Public Broadcaster reports.
 
When Mamuka Mdinaradze, the speaker addressing the issue, stood at the tribune, Citizens party MP Aleko Elisashvili approached and physically insulted him.
 
Security personnel are intervening to defuse the situation.
