Israel will be punished, Iran's spiritual leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said in a message in X on 13 April.
"The malicious regime will be punished," Khamenei stated.
Iran threatened to retaliate for the Israeli attack on its consulate in Damascus in Syria, which killed seven members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, including two generals.
