“Haykakan Zhamanak”: Quarter of a century "disaster zone"

24 years ago on this day the disaster zone of devastating earthquake does not show any sign of standing up. Gyumrin is in the worst situation.

Contrary to official statements, promises and assurances, Gyumri is not only not ceased to be a "disaster zone", but his status is deteriorated year after year. Today Gyumri is officially considered to be the poorest city in Armenia, and more than 48 percent of its population lives in poor conditions. 4,500 families are still homeless, despite the fact that Gyumri reached a huge amount of migration.

After quarter-century of Great Earthquake we can talk about the disgraceful fact that the authorities in Armenia's second city, their inability to solve the problems reason in the earthquake so far.
