Zoya Tadevosyan: “Incumbent president can be a favorite”
Political
Founding member of the People’s Power non-governmental, political initiative, member of Armenian National Congress (ANC) opposition bloc Zoya Tadevosyan says by nominating their candidacies some citizens humiliate the value of president.
“The last two presidential candidates have just humiliated the value of president. A president must be literate, must be an authority, the word of who must have a value,” she told the reporters on Wednesday, adding that today she does not have a reason for being proud regarding the “past two presidents as well.”
“Of course, some are trying to become famous by nominating their candidacies, but the demands must be make them not feel themselves as candidates,” he said, adding that she does not want to assess separate individuals.
“We are convinced that the only escape from these authorities is the unity,” she said.
She also stressed that the allegations of the political forces that the issue of personality is not a priority in case of consolidation, is acceptable but not in case when the issue relates to the quality of the person.
As to the allegations of the ruling force that the favorite in the presidential elections is Serzh Sargsyan, Tadevosyan said, the incumbent president may be favorite inside his party. “During the past five years the 35% of the population lives in poverty, it already makes it impossible for him to be favorite for that part of people,” she said.
