Armenian PM meets Massachusetts governor Deval Patrick

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met on Wednesday the governor of Massachusetts, Deval Patrick.

On behalf of President Serzh Sargsyan, the premier presented the US official with the Mkhitar Gosh Medal.

He thanked Patrick for assistance in the construction of an Armenian Genocide monument. The governor, in turn, asked Sargsyan to convey his words of gratitude to the Armenian president.

According to a press release by the Armenian Government, the sides discussed possibilities of future cooperation. The Massachusetts governor highly praised the Armenian community’s role in his state’s life.

After the meeting, Sargsyan visited the c to lay flowers on the monument eternalizing the memory of the Genocide victims.
