Naira Zohrabyan: "We wanted to have a single candidate, but we respect Tsarukyan's decision"

An information was disseminated in the media according to which Gagik Tsarukyan’s decision not to participate in the elections created a shock mood in the party, and some members decided to leave the party and leave Armenia.

In talk with Lurer.com NA PAP MP Naira Zohrabyan denied this information and qualified as a wrong assumption.

"I declare with all responsibility and trust that NA PAP any member does not have such a mood.

We should not accept such assumptions as a truth and make wrong conclusions, no one has such a mood, it is a perfect nonsense”, Zohrabyan said and added: “Yes, many deputies, including me, had the opinion that PAP had to nominate its own candidate in the presidential elections.

But everyone understands that Gagik Tsarukyan had his personal and individual decision problem. I am sure and I can tell you that we respect Mr. Tsarukyan’s decision, as it has been made as a result of heated discussions and analyses. Those information is absolutely not true”.
