Armenia’s ruling party holds special congress

The 14th special congress of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has kicked off in Yerevan.

President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan will address the participants to present a campaign program under the motto “Toward a secure Armenia.”

In his speech President will touch upon the issues referring to the Armenian army, foreign policy, Karabakh peace process, problems of the Diaspora as well as issues related to judicial system and economy. He will also speak about healthcare system, science and education, employment, culture, youth affairs and sport.

Representatives of other political parties are expected to welcome the delegates.

The delegates will vote to nominate Serzh Sargsyan as a presidential candidate from RPA.
