Armenia’s President receives world famous French actor Alain Delon

Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan received today world famous French actor Alain Delon who is in Armenia to attend Happy New Year, Mothers! film premiere where he stars.

President Sargsyan welcomed the guest saying the characters he has embodied are very much loved in Armenia. The president also said the French-Armenian ancient-long ties continue developing dynamically.

The French actor thanked the Armenian president for the warm reception, stressing that France has always been attentive toward Armenia and respects its culture, history having also a clear position in the 1915 Armenian genocide having recognized and condemned it.

The actor said he has followed the meeting of Armenia’s President Sezrh Sargsyan with the French President Francoise Holland as well as the state visit of the ex President Nicolas Sarkozy to Armenia.

President Sargsyan was interested in the film to be presented in Armenia, saying that all the peoples of the Mediterranean Sea have always had a special attitude toward mothers and if the Armenian film director and producer together with the creative team have devoted a film to mothers it speaks about the eternity of values.

The famous French actor said that despite his little role in the comedy, he played it with great love and is very happy for visiting Armenia where he has been pleasantly surprised for being so much known and loved.

The renowned actor accepted Serzh Sargsyan’s invitation to visit Armenia again and get familiarized with the country better.
