CSTO leaders meet at Kremlin

Narrow-format meeting of the heads of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) countries is underway at the Kremlin.
The presidents of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan as well as CSTO Secretary General Nikolay Bordyuzha are participating in the event.
Following the narrow-format talks, the defense ministers of CSTO countries likewise will join the presidents.
The agenda of the discussions include the improvement of the security systems, development of the military component of the CSTO until 2020, the current situation in Afghanistan, and the examination of Uzbekistan’s formal petition to terminate its membership to the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
