Government has approved a draft law on the state program to improve the demographic situation in Armenia in 2013.

In the statement Government pointed out that the program was to improve the demographic situation of the Republic of Armenia in 2013, stems from the third paragraph of the protocol solutions N 27 "Strategy for Demographic Policy of the Republic of Armenia" July 2, 2009.

The main objectives and directions of the state program are to improve the demographic situation in Armenia: to ensure the growth of the birth rate, financial incentives of having a second or third child, reducing the mortality rate among children and mothers, wedding stimulate growth, improve the legal framework, such as demography, migration control and mitigation uneven distribution of the population.
