Karim Benzema": "If "Real" offers a new contract, I will sign it

Karim Benzema, currently with Real Madrid, was interviewed by 'France Football' about the award for best player in France for 2012. Benzema said that his team's main objective and what the players are all focusing on, after winning the league last year, is to win the team’s tenth European Cup.

"I'm with Madrid to win it all! Especially the Champions League. Everyone here wants to win number ten, and I’d like to be in the team that achieves that", he said.

"I don't know anything about my future. I’m very happy with Real Madrid and this is where I want to be. It's the biggest club in the world and our paths still haven't separated", said the striker.

Regarding the Ballon d'Or, Benzema assured that "we're all behind Cristiano", and he added that "with six players amongst the nominees, Real Madrid is the team that is best represented".

Benzema also admitted that he dreams about winning the trophy one day. "Every player dreams about this trophy. Being amongst the 23 candidates is a bit like being amongst the 23 best players in the world. So that’s a great feeling. But I still need to keep working so that I can be selected amongst the three finalists, or maybe even win it one day".
