Cheerful clown with sad eyes: today is Mher Mkrtchyan's death day (video)
Science and culture
Today is the Armenian honored actor of USSR, Frunze (Frunzik, Mher) Mkrtchyan's death day.
His appearance in the scenes was noticed not only by an extraordinary appearance, but also his brilliant ability to improvise.
He came up with the phrase of his characters, which were winged, "Egg in the morning, afternoon egg, in the evening - an omelette", "I laughed so hard," "Do not be offended, but I will say one smart thing," etc.
He improvised on the scene, making laugh even usually unflappable operators.
Frunzik Mkrtchyan was born on July 4, in 1930 in the large Armenian city Leninakan, in a family of refugees from the Turkish massacres. Parents named him Frunzik due tp Soviet General Mikhail Frunze.
The actor had two names, and even said to have two passports. One - in the name of Frunze, the other - in the name of Mher, which translated from Armenian means "the sun, the light."
Frunzik-Mher eventually lost both the passports and lived without documents. In the Soviet Union passport the actor just did not need a passport. Everybody knew him in the face.
Since childhood Frunzik did not dream of any other profession, except acting. However, his strict father was against his plans. While their parents worked in the local textile mill, Frunzik hung curtain the stairwell and arranged solo performances for the children.
Frunzik's brother, filmmaker Albert Mkrtchyan told: "Frunze had a death wish, he rushed to it, he dreamed of it, brutally putting out a vital instincts. It was not the time ruined and passion for wine and tobacco ... No, he deliberately walked to his death, unable to survive the illness of his wife and son - his great family."
Frunzik Mkrtchyan died on New Year. Hearing the sad news, on December 31, Armenians drank the first glass without ringing and with silence ...
He took the time not only to play, but personally shake the hands of each of his audience. And because so far in Armenia there are so many people who have communicated with Frunzik. And so far his name is a strange and touching, brings a joyful smile.
