Help Syrian Armenians with "Yerevan City" cards

On December 10, 2012 the Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kuwait Mr. Bassam Muhammad al Kabandi, head of the International Islamic Charitable Organization Mohammad S. Abugeyta, editor in chief of the agency "Kuwait Nyuz" Hamed al-Amiri.

The ambassador Bassam Muhammad al Kabandi informed Hranush Hakobyan that during his visit to Kuwait there was an agrement that U.S. $ 100,000 would be transferred to the Armenians of Syrian origin.

The ambassador of Kuwait to Armenia Bassam Muhammad al-Kabandi on December 26 at the Ministry of Diaspora gave cash checks worth a total of $ 100,000 for NGO coordination problems of Syrian Armenians. In this way the Syrian Armenians were given cards in the amount of 20 000 AMD which would help them with shopping in the supermarket chain "Yerevan City".

Note that the representatives of the NGO Coordination problems of Syrian Armenians are engaged in the study of quotations Yerevan shops and they themselves decided how and to whom to provide such assistance.

The program is for 1000 families of Syrian Armenians living in Armenia.
