Many divorced women are deprived of child support in Gyumri (video)

Public organization "Shirak Center" reports that during the annual visits and monitoring houses-huts in Gyumri they often meet young single mothers living in difficult social conditions.

A large number of them are those that are married at an early age to our compatriots living abroad, especially in Russia, but their married life have lasted only a few months.

Many of the girls after the birth of first child or during pregnancy for various reasons divorced and returned to her father's house. Many of them have not even had time to officially register their marriage. For this reason, many of the paternity of children of single mothers are not recognized. Single mothers do not receive financial aid or the so-called child support.

In a district of small houses-huts lives a single mother with a similar fate, 27-year-old Hasmik with her four-year son.
