Syria, Somalia, Mexico, Brazil and Honduras - the most dangerous countries for journalists. This is stated in the report of the independent journalistic organization Press Emblem Campaign.

According to the organization, in 2012, in 29 countries 141 journalists were killed, which was one of the highest rates.

The death toll of journalists compared with 2011 increased by 31%. 37 media workers were killed in Syria.
