For several days the tobacco market has registered higher prices by 15-20 drams.

In an interview with Lurer.com the chairman of the Association of Consumers Armen Poghosyan said that this price increase is due to the constantly change the tax mechanism.

"Every December a great package is received, but I do not see its effectiveness. First, before any legislative steps should be calculated, as it will be effective, the percentage will solve the problem, but I do not see this planning.

There was a time when imported cigarettes had a higher tax, but then taxes imported and manufactured cigarettes were balanced, which means that the local hits, and hits hard.
