Mircea Lucescu: "I want Willian to solve his problems in a civilized manner."

The Shakhtar head coach has answered journalists’ questions at this year’s first training session.

- There are reports that Taison have been signed. What could you tell about it?
- Perhaps, it is more important to talk about the players that are here. When we know for sure that he is here, when I see him in the training kit at the base, then we will make comments. It is better to talk about those who are now on the field.

- Ishchenko, young Grechishkin joined the team.
- Polyanskiy was injured at the training camp; he was unable to compete with other players. We decided to swap Polyanskiy for Ishchenko. Mykola played well in the past year, he has experience, he knows our game. So we decided to bring him back, and Polyanskiy needs match practice, which, we hope, he will have at Illychivets. As for Grechishkin, he is a young player, our Academy’s pupil, who looked good at Illychivets. We’ll see and then will take a decision.

- Who can leave Shakhtar?
- At present, there are not any plans. We will have training camps. We do not know what conditions players were in. At the moment, we need all the available players, and then we will make some decisions. The spring season is short - only 12 league games. And I would like the players, who are not first teamers here, to play somewhere. In particular, for the teams that set specific tasks: either the team who want to avoid the relegation zone, or teams that are fighting for the places in the European competitions.

- But Shust has already left?
- We talked to Shust today. Probably, he will have less competition there than here. He has gained enough experience in recent years, and could probably compete for a place in the starting line-up of any team and be one of the top goalkeepers in Ukraine.

- Talks about Rat...
- It's all talk. There are also many stories about me. Newspapers need to write something, television also needs to tell something. Therefore, a lot of things have been made up, with situations being interpreted not as they should be. At the moment, everyone has contracts, and everyone wants to see them out. We will see.
