Today, at a special meeting of the Central Election Commission (CEC) the Chairman Tigran Mukuchyan announced that CEC has registered eight candidates: incumbent President Serzh Sargsyan, the leader of "Heritage", ex-Foreign Minister Raffi Hovannisyan, Chairman of "Freedom", the former prime Minister Hrant Bagratyan, political analyst and director of "Radio-hay" Andreas Ghukasyan, former Foreign Minister of Nagorno-Karabakh, a political adviser to the network of civil society "Refugees and International Law" Arman Melikyan, the leader of the association "National Self-Determination" Paruyr Hayrikyan, nonpartisan Vardan Sedrakyan, the leader of "National accord" Aram Harutyunyan.

Statements of self-rejection can be submitted until February 8, 18:00.

Armenian presidential elections are scheduled for February 18.
