Levon Zurabyan's resignation is demanded

Yesterday the member of the Armenian National Congress (ANC), Petros Makeyan and his "Democratic Homeland" party conveyed the political council meeting, in which ANC would discuss ANC statement in connection with the upcoming presidential elections.

Makeyan has said that they do not agree with this statement.

"The first information" writes, that according to their information, the party "Democratic Homeland" has decided to demand ANC coordinator Levon Zurabyan's resignation.

"Stormy discussion lasted about three hours. Our statement will be issued this afternoon. I have nothing more to add," said Makeyan.

Note, that at the end of last year, the ANC leader Levon Ter-Petrosyan said that would not nominate for the presidental elections, yielding the political arena to younger leaders.

After some time, the ANC said that at a meeting of the Political Council, it has decided that Congress will not nominate its own candidate in the presidental elections and will not support any candidate.
