Yezidis support Serz Sargsyan

The president of the Union of Yezidis has asked his community to support Armenia’s incumbent president, Serzh Sargsyan, in the upcoming elections.
“We have created an ABC book and textbooks, with the Yezidi language being taught in over 30 schools in Armenia. With all this activities, we are attached to the Armenian nation and its leadership,” Aziz Tamoyan told reporters on Tuesday.
The Yezidi leader said their community will stand by any person who is elected a president, noting the norm for ethnic minorities is to back those in power.
