An investigator arrested in Armenia

On suspicion of tampering with evidence in a criminal case brought by a particularly serious crime, the murder of Gregory Papyan, on January 15, 2013 the Investigation Department for Special Cases of the Main Investigation Department of the Armenian Police Department arrested Investigator of Syunik Police Arman Yengoyan (07.09.2012 order of the Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia he was dismissed and registered in the personnel reserve the RA Police).

Note that the incident occurred on Aug. 28, 2010. That evening in a cafe near the House of Culture of Kajaran Grigor Papyan, Gevorg Tosunyan and Sahak Sahakyan quarreled. The criminal case was under investigation. The same day, Grigor Papyan was killed.

Later it turned out that Gevorg Danielyan implicated as a witness of N.G., which obviously gave false testimony that he had seen a fight of G.Papyan and S.Sahakyanin Kajaran park, and the moment of impact, he handle a knife on the head of the victim. It appears, however, that at that time N.G. was not at the scene.

Gagik Danielyan was arrested onDec. 5 on charges provided for item 1 part 3 of Article 349 of the Criminal Code. Note that the Chief of Police V.Gasparyan ordered Danielyan's position to be terminated in September. The investigation continues.
