Henrikh Mkhitaryan: "I do not want to become the top scorer here"

The Pitmen’s midfielder has given his take on the victory in the first match of the year.

- Henrikh, how did the team assess the first match of the year?
- I must say that we are going through a difficult period, as we pay much attention to our fitness and, of course, we do not forget about the work with the ball. In the second half the team looked better, more dynamic, everyone moved well, did his best. We had a lot of chances to score, but I think the most important thing now is the preparation.

- Did you expect that the opening 20 minutes would see three goals?
- This is football, maybe someone expected, but the important thing is that after conceding a second goal we began playing much better, almost everything worked out, and eventually we levelled the scored. As for the second half, we started as though from scratch.

- You scored the winning goal in that game. Did you set personal goals in this tournament?
- No, I do not want to become the top scorer here. There is a task of preparing well physically, technically and psychologically for a match-up with Borussia.
