Serzh Sargsyan receives PACE pre-election mission members

Serzh Sargsyan held a meeting on January 17 with a delegation of the PACE pre-election mission.

The Armenian leader noted Armenia attaches paramount importance to its membership in the Council of Europe and to its commitments.

The sides discussed the latest parliamentary and local elections in Armenia. The delegation members noted that the elections proved to be a serious step forward.

President Serzh Sargsyan expressed his appreciation of the Council of Europe monitoring of the election process. Armenia’s leader stressed he expects deeper cooperation.

President Serzh Sargsyan also pointed out that no efforts will be spared for the upcoming presidential election to be the best in independent Armenia’s history.
