Real Madrid wants €25 million for Kaka

Kaka's future is in the balance at Real Madrid. The Brazilian player is looking to leave in the January window and Mourinho is not opposed to the move, two factors that should in theory facilitate the transfer. Nevertheless, the Kaká soap opera continues on account of the high price tag Madrid has put on the player - €25 million.

In spite of the fact that Real Madrid has made it known that it will open the doors for Kaká if he agrees to leave, the truth of the matter is that the club is asking for an astronomical sum even though Florentino Pérez assured everyone that the player "had already paid for himself."

Last week, Real Madrid rejected an offer made by LA Galaxy precisely on the grounds that the American team wasn't willing to meet the asking price of €25 million. Kaká, who is not happy with his situation at the club, was prepared to accept the offer but Real Madrid slammed the door shut.

LA Galaxy, who already tried to sign Kaká over the summer, was taken aback by Madrid's refusal to sell, and the latter's claim that: "Kaká costs €25 million". LA Galaxy's reply was equally resounding: "You don't pay those prices in MLS, so we're pulling out."
