The election campaign and hunger strike started at the same time

Armenian presidential candidate Andreas Ghukasyan holds hunger strike in front of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences.

Andreas Ghukasyan earlier reported that he would announce an indefinite hunger strike if the CEC did not meet his demand to cancel the registration of the candidate of the Republican Party Serzh Sargsyan.

"I will stop the hunger strike in case that it will become clear to society that Armenia has no democratic state that it should be built, and this problem will become a priority on the political agenda. My requirement is to end trumped elections", he noted.
