300 for Ronaldo
Sport
Another brace for Cristiano Ronaldo in the weekend's 5-0 win against Valencia took him to a career total of 300 goals, scored during his time with Sporting Clube de Portugal, Manchester United and now Real Madrid.
Of the 300 goals, more than half were scored in his three and a half years at Real. He scored 177 goals in just 174 games at ‘Los Blancos’, making him the club's most prolific player, in terms of his goal ratio.
After coming through Sporting's academy, Ronaldo only scored 5 goals while playing for the senior team. The rest, 118, were scored with Manchester United during his six seasons at Old Trafford.
Ronaldo made the starting line-up at the weekend despite an argument with José Mourinho after the recent Copa del Rey match. Mourinho opted to avoid controversy and didn't even consider resting the player.
