Candidate for RA presidency suspends the election campaign

Former Minister of Foreign Affairs of NKR, RA presidential candidate Arman Melikyan suspends the election campaign. Today at a news conference the candidate said.

"We are suspending the campaign, because the problem of the appropriate selection is not solved yet and as there are no preconditions for holding fair elections," said Arman Melikyan, and added that his claim is concerning the Central Election Commission of Armenia (CEC) to present the data on citizens, who left Armenia, was rejected and presidential candidate believes that these votes will be used in favor of the candidate of the government.

"At the last elections the situation in this regard was not changed, and we do not want to deceive anyone and present political, social and economic programs, as there will be rigged elections, and we will finally have to give up the lies, falsehood," said Arman Melikyan.

As noted in his speech Arman Melikyan, he can refuse to participate in elections until February 8, declaring that the elections are illegal, but he has decided not to suspend the course of the day. This can be done even before the election, even if his name has to be on the ballot. The candidate did not rule out rejection".
