Alex Teixeira: "We are rediscovering our form."

After the match with Zenit, the Brazilian midfielder of Shakhtar responded to the questions posed by the club press office.

- Alex, can today’s match be called Shakhtar’s best game at the training camp in the UAE?
- I think so. Today we’ve looked much better than in the previous friendlies.

- The goal scored by Zenit has caused much controversy. Don’t you think it was scored unfairly?
- I think that the opposition didn’t act decently in that episode. The referee awarded a free kick and pointed to the location for us to build the wall. Zenit must have taken the kick after the signal, but they just flashed it before the whistle, with the referee having not cancelled the goal. Therefore the goal wasn’t quite fair.

- Your first training camp is over now. What are the major results you would single out after the work in the UAE?
- It was a very important time, through which we began to regain our optimal form and pick up our game. In this sense, the trip to the UAE was very useful.

- Have you already decided how you will spend the whole day in Donetsk?
- My girlfriend is still in Brazil and will come later, so I’ll spend the day with my friends. Maybe we will go shopping or have dinner somewhere.
