Armenian woman assaulted in Istanbul

Yesterday a new assault against an Armenian woman was reported in Istanbul’s Samatia district.

The woman was reportedly on her way back home in the evening when she ran into an unknown man in black clothes, who punched to the ground. Akyar received bruises below her eyes and had her mouth filled with blood. The man later tried to force Akar into her house, but her cries for neighbors' help saved the situation.

Note, that on December 28 another ethnic Armenian, Maritsa Kyukchuk, was killed in the district.
