Levin about Mkhitaryan: thinking aloud

On the pages of the February issue of Shakhtar magazine, the respected sports journalist Borys Levin expressed his opinion about Shakhtar midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan. We bring to your attention some of his reflections.

- For any player it is very important to find his “friend” coach and the club where he “belongs”. Mkhitaryan, perhaps, found himself in the right team just on time. Both Shakhtar’s game and the company of Brazilians are optimal for him.

I do not think he would be able to show his worth so strikingly at any athletic, say, typical English club. It’s hard to say what played a key role - his talent, ability to improve himself or just circumstances. Probably, everything of the above was the case.
