Presentation of the book "The Tragedy of Sumgait"

On January 17 at the historic hall «Refettorio» of Chamber of Deputies of Italy, with the initiative of the Embassy of Armenia and the Armenian-Italian Friendship Group of the Italian Parliament, the presentation of Samvel Shahmuradyan's book "The tragedy of Sumgait" took place, Press Service of Armenian Foreign Ministry reports.

The book, being published in Italian earlier this year, with the assistance of the Embassy of Armenia, was edited by the Honorary Consul of Armenia in Milan Pietro Kuchukyan and was complemented by a description of events connected with the release of Ramil Safarov and his glorification.

The head of the Armenian-Italian Friendship Group of the Italian Parliament Sandra Champa, Armenian Ambassador to Italy Ruben Karapetyan, Honorary Consul of Armenia in Milan Pietro Kuchukyan, professor at the University of Siena Marcello Flores, co-author of the website "Italian initiative for Karabakh" Robert Ataryan attended the event.
