Nagorno-Karabakh airport operation issue may be discussed at Nalbandian-Mammadyarov meeting

The Nagorno-Karabakh airport operation issue will be discussed next week in Paris at the upcoming meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, US ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar said, according to APA news agency.

“We have urged the parties not to make steps that will result in the increase of tension in the region and impede the negotiation process. Such steps cannot be useful. I think the issue of operation of Nagorno-Karabakh airport will be discussed in Paris and will have a diplomatic solution,” the ambassador said.

Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian is going to meet with the OSCE Minsk group co-chairs on January 28 after which if necessary meet with the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov.
