Madrid's new goalkeeper

Real Madrid has finalised a deal for Diego Lopez to cover for the injured Iker Casillas. The Sevilla goalkeeper returns to the club where he began his career, before he joined Villareal and then the Andalusian club, with whom Real has reached an agreement.
Diego López returns to Real Madrid at the age of 31. The Sevilla goalkeeper was always 'Los Blancos' number-one target in the winter transfer window, with the aim of providing competition for Antonio Adán.
Real's initial plan was to sign Lopez – who played for the club for two seasons between 2005 and 2007 - on loan. However, a permanent transfer to Madrid was confirmed, with the Andalusian club receiving €3.5 million for the goalkeeper.
