Turkish gas distribution network privatized

Turkey's gas distribution network Başkent Doğalgaz (Ankara) has been fully privatized, Turkish Anadolu news agency reported on Saturday.
According to the agency, the highest price of $1.162 billion was offered by Turkish company Torunlar Gıda Sanayi.
Previously it was reported that privatization of the Turkish gas distribution network Başkent Dogalgaz is expected.
Earlier Energy and Natural Resources Minister of Turkey Taner Yildiz reported that Turkey intends to continue the policy of privatization of the energy sector, in particular electricity and gas distribution sector.
