Iran’s president to visit Egypt for first time

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad plans to visit Egypt for the first time to take part in a meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Fars News Agency reported today.
Ahmadinejad will visit Cairo on Feb.6.
According to Fars News Agency report on Jan.26, Ahmadinejad will meet with Egypt President Mohammed Morsi and Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas.
The Iranian president will visit Egypt for the first time. Earlier, Morsi visited Tehran in 2012 to take part in a meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement. Two countries cut diplomatic relations in 1980.
