Iniesta: "I can still play better"
Sport
Andrés Iniesta was the game changer once again at the Rosaleda. Not only did the Albacete-born dynamo score the crucial goal, making it 3-2 just eight minutes after Málaga had equalised and threatened to take the tie to extra time, but he was his team's all-round top performer for the umpteenth time.
Iniesta is cruising at the moment, after a patchy start to the season, when he was pacing himself. Indeed, it wasn't until 'La Liga' matchdays seven and eight that he played 90 minutes back-to-back, against Real Madrid and Deportivo respectively. Now, if he features this Sunday against Osasuna, he will match his personal record for the season of playing in five straight fixtures.
In any case, the midfield wizard still feels there is room for improvement. "I'm happy, I feel good, but I think I can still play better", he said after the match in Málaga, speaking in excellent Catalan.
Iniesta also claimed that he feels very comfortable lining up on the left flank, where he has played in recent games, a position that offers plenty of scope to interchange with Cesc Fàbregas, who is starting in a more withdrawn role.
