Galatasaray signed a one-and-half-year contract with Didier Drogba today on Monday, January 28.

Drogba first became a member of the Ivorian national team in 2002. Throughout his career Drogba has won many awards both as a team member and individually. For example, he was twice the winner of the African Footballer of the Year in 2006 and 2009, Cote d'Ivoire Player of the Year in 2007 and 2012, Africa Cup Top Scorer in 2012, the UEFA Champions League Final Man of the Match in 2012 .
