Georgian president appoints new pardon commission staff

Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili issued a decree to form a new body of staff for the Pardon Commission.

The Commission will again be headed by Elena Tevdoradze. The committee also includes: playwright Lasha Bugadze, presidential advisers - Nino Kalandadze Van Bayburt and Mubariz Karayev, senior adviser to President Georgi Godabrelidze, philologist, Professor Zurab Kiknadze, chief editor of 4 Hours newspaper Mamuka Pachuashvili, writer Givi Shahnazar, Parliamentary Secretary to President Dmitri Dzagnidze, acting head of the Presidential Administration service for relations with Parliament Kakhaber Andjaparidze and Metropolitan Theodore.

The new staff does not include ministers and MPs as opposed to the previous composition.
