AS.com readers believe that new signing Diego López will start in goal for Real Madrid against Barcelona in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final tie on Wednesday.

Just 33% of readers believe that José Mourinho will opt for Antonio Adán, who has started three league games this season and for a brief period at the turn of the year was the Portuguese coach's goalkeeper of choice, ahead of club captain Iker Casillas.

Worryingly for Real Madrid fans, the statistics show that neither López nor Adán have enjoyed the full confidence of their respective coaches this season.

López played just 10 games with Sevilla this season in the league and the Copa del Rey, with both former coach Míchel and current boss Unai Emery preferring Andrés Palop. López played 663 minutes in the league, in which he let in 11 goals, and played two complete games in the Copa del Rey, conceding just one goal.

Adán has played a total of eight matches and has let in nine goals over 622 minutes. These include three games in the league, four in the Copa del Rey and one in the Champions League.
