Valdes Fancies the Brazilian League
Sport
All sorts of things have been said to Victor Valdes in Barcelona since he announced he didn't wish to renew his contract with the club. But the truth of the matter is that he has good enough reasons to want a change of scenery - more to do with finance than sport – but in a year's time, not now (his contract ends in June 2014).
The Catalan club is already looking for a substitute and Victor Valdés knows exactly where he'd like to go. But for now he's keeping very quiet about it. It’s a closely guarded secret, though it would appear he wants to change continent. Word has it that he fancies the Brazilian league for many reasons, primarily personal.
Yet another reason that Victor Valdes hasn't renewed his contract is that the Azulgrana club made him a low offer. His current contract is about €7 million per season and in 2014 he'll be 32. In Brazil, or in another country, he'll earn more money and have a free transfer in his pocket. Both compelling reasons.
