Candidate for presidency Paruyr Hayrikyan shot in Yerevan

Yesterday before midnight in the administrative district of Kentron, Yerevan unknown assailants opened fire on a candidate for president of Armenia Paruyr Hayrikyan then the latter with a gunshot wound was taken to the medical center of St. Grigor Lusavorich.

A number of presidential candidates, the Speaker of the Armenian National Assembly Hovik Abrahamyan, Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan visited Paruyr Hayrikyan.

The wound that Hayrikyan got is not life-threatening.
