Annual Boxing Tournament after Gagik Tsarukyan will be renamed Tournament after Vladimir Engibaryan

A memorial ceremony for the best boxer of all times of Armenia Vladimir Engibaryan took place on February 3 in St. Sargis church, Yerevan. President of the NOC of Armenia Gagik Tsarukyan, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs Hrachya Rostomyan and other sports leaders and veterans of the sport attended the ceremony.

Immediately after the ceremony, Vice-President of the NOC, a member of the executive committee of the European Boxing Association Derenik Gabrielyan said that the annual Boxing Tournament after Gagik Tsarukyan will  be renamed Tournament  after Vladimir Engibaryan, official website of Armenian NOC reports.

To note that on February 1 in Los Angeles at the age of 80 years Olympic boxing champion, three-time European champion and champion of the USSR Vladimir Yengibaryan died.
