Benzema: "We are Real Madrid and we never give up"

Karim Benzema spoke to MARCA earlier in France, as the striker prepares for his country's game against Germany in the Stade de France. The centre-forward – along with Frank Ribéry and Hugo Lloris – forms part of a French team that is fired up to beat Spain when the two nations meet on 26th March.
Benzema began by giving his view about Real Madrid's recent defeat: "We can play better. We're disappointed. We have to fight to the end in the league, even though it is very difficult (to win)".
The Frenchman is not one to talk too much about what goes on in the dressing room, but said that: "We have to stick together. We have the same objective and we're not going to throw in the towel. There's a long way to go. We all want to win titles. We are still in the Champions League, which is a special competition, and have the second leg of the cup against Barcelona".
Benzema is well aware of the values of being a Real player: "You never know what can happen. We are Real Madrid and only winning matters at this club. I know no one ever gives up in this team".
The centre-forward is now focussed on France's next game. Manager Didier Deschamps will either go with Benzema in the striker's position or supporting Olivier Giroud. "It will be a good match. We face one of the strongest nations in the world. They have a lot of quality and have always fought for their titles, which speaks volumes. We'll have to play really well to beat them", he concluded.
